I’ve decided to take part in Deepak Chopra and Oprah‘s #21 day #meditation #challenge. In recent months, I’ve felt a strong awareness of my being. It’s difficult to put into words what I feel. But the long and short is – I feel a peace within and not many things can actually ‘get to me’. With that said, I also feel when something isn’t right in the air and I’ve been listening to my instincts when I hear that voice of reason speaking to me. We all have that voice within. We don’t all listen to it but often look back at a situation and say “I knew that was going to happen…” I’ve been able to be more aware of that voice and actually listen to it. Like every other mammal, we are all born with instincts, that’s how birds are able to fly once they’re thrown out of the nest. It’s how lions know how to hunt. It’s how gazelle’s know how to flee. It’s how animals know there’s a Tsunami coming and to head to higher grounds. We are mammals too…we need to be aware of those natural emotions within..and listen to them.
It’s been a long time since I’ve meditated but I feel it’s the one thing that will help me stay in this state of being I’ve come to appreciate today. I’m grateful to all my family and friends for being such strong forces in my life. I feel very blessed to learn from experiences and life in general. I read an amazing quote that really hit home…”No problem can ever be solved at the level of awareness at which it was created.” In order to find a resolution, you need to elevate your mind to new heights in order to see a situation from a different angle.
I look forward to taking my message on the road one day and speaking to masses, letting them know that they’re not alone in anything. We’ve all been in situations where we feel like we’re alone and question “does this happen to anyone else” or we’re embarrassed because “We know better” and know that we should avoid certain actions that only end up hurting us. Once you make the choice to 1. admit there’s an issue, 2. ask for help and 3. work towards a resolution, you’ll be so much happier and be on your way to feeling peace in your life.
We can all overcome any situation – fear is the only thing that prevents us from facing obstacles head on, but when you recognize that fear is only an emotion that can be controlled, then you’ll be able to succeed in every aspect of your life. If you’ve never failed, it only means you’ve never tried something new.
Be fearless and listen to your instincts. Mediate and listen to your inner being. It’s smarter than you’ll ever know.
