There are no words to express how heavy my heart is for those lost in yesterday’s tragic and senseless act of violence in Connecticut.
They were just children. Every life is valuable but taking the lives of innocent children? It’s like killing a baby bird in the nest. They never had a chance to fly.
My heart goes out to the parents and loved ones of those who lost their babies and family to this tragic event. I never want to know the feeling of – getting a call that an incident has occurred and then finding out that your heart and joy has been taken from you.
People are griping about gun laws.
I don’t believe that’s the issue here…it’s the people using them.
Yes, I agree it may be too easy to get a gun in the US but the reality is, if someone wants something, they’ll find a way to get it. Legal or not.
In my opinion, we need to be more aware of various signs of mental illness. It doesn’t happen overnight. We need to be more in tune to those in our lives.
In no way am I defending the actions of those involved, this display of total disregard of life was beyond sickening. I’m just saying we need to be aware of the people in our lives.
From children with ADHD and Autism back to adults with Menopause and/or Midlife Crises’… these are are all form of mental illnesses. We need to be mentally aware.
Nonetheless, yesterday’s event was heart breaking and my heart breaks for all those affected.
